STUDIO CARTEL

Studio Cartel is a multi-disciplinary arts collective and production studio based out of Calgary, Alberta. Collectively, the Cartel artists build a range of commissioned, public and creative artworks including kinetic sculptures, motorized displays, interactive installations, and large-scale sculptural works. 

Since opening in 2012, Studio Cartel has worked for a variety of clients including: BeakerHead, TEDxYYC, AsTech Foundation, E=MC2 Event Design, The Source Snowboards, Swallow-A-Bicycle Theatre, TAG Advertising Agency and more.

Their work has been featured on Discovery Channel’s Daily Planet, CBC Radio, CJSW & Calgary Herald and has been exhibited at international arts/music festivals including Burning Man and Motion Notion.

With a large production facility in inner-city Calgary, Studio Cartel has the capability to design and build a range of custom artworks in-house in a range of mediums including steel, wood, aluminum, acrylic, fibre, recycled materials, and electronic components.
